House removals across Adelaide: the 28 suburbs on our list

Greater Adelaide was home to 1,491,015 people at 30 June 2025, according to the ABS, spread from the beaches to the foothills and out to the Hills. Moveall moves houses across 28 suburbs of it, grouped below the way Moveall groups them. Each region has its own page with the streets, homes and access to expect, and what that means for a house move.

House Removalists Adelaide is a service of Moveall Australia Pty Ltd, a South Australian owned and operated removalist with its office in Wayville.

Adelaide City

City moves are mostly apartments: lifts to book, loading docks with time limits and busy streets in front. Vehicles cannot enter Rundle Mall during the City of Adelaide’s restricted hours, and in the city we check parking and loading rules with the building and the council before moving day. Read apartment removalists in Adelaide for how a city move is planned.

Northern suburbs

Prospect, Walkerville, Mawson Lakes, Salisbury, Elizabeth, Paradise, Modbury, Golden Grove and Tea Tree Gully. The region runs from character homes a few minutes from the city to newer estates and sloping foothills blocks in the north-east. See removalists for the northern suburbs.

Eastern suburbs

Norwood, Payneham, Magill, Campbelltown and Burnside. Older villas on narrow streets near the Parade, then larger blocks and steeper driveways towards the foothills. See removalists for the eastern suburbs.

Southern suburbs

Unley, Goodwood, Mitcham, Blackwood and Marion. Bungalows and villas close to the city, then the foothills and the winding streets of Blackwood in the hills face. See removalists for the southern suburbs.

Western suburbs and beaches

Glenelg, Brighton, Plympton, Henley Beach, West Lakes, Semaphore and Port Adelaide. Beachside apartments and homes along the coast, older cottages near the port, and busy foreshore streets on a warm weekend. See removalists for the western suburbs and beaches.

Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills

Mount Barker sits in the Adelaide Hills, up the South Eastern Freeway from the city. Moves to and from the Hills need more planning than most: longer drives, steeper driveways and blocks where the truck may not get close to the door. Tell us about the driveway and the distance from the house to where a truck can stop, and we will plan the truck and the carry around it.

Moving between regions

Many Adelaide moves cross the city: from a unit in the west to a family home in the north-east, or from the family home in the east to something smaller near the beach. The plan is the same either way. The quote is built on your inventory and the access at both homes, so tell us about both ends: stairs, lifts, driveways and how far it is to the door. The complete move is explained on house removalists in Adelaide.
