Removalists in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs work between two kinds of street. Close to the city, Norwood and Payneham have older villas and cottages on narrow streets where parking is tight. Further east, Magill, Campbelltown and Burnside run up towards the foothills, with larger blocks, established trees and driveways that can be long or steep. A house move in the east is planned around which of those two you are leaving, and which you are moving to.

House Removalists Adelaide is a service of Moveall Australia Pty Ltd, a South Australian owned and operated removalist. Moves in the eastern suburbs booked here are carried out by Moveall.
Norwood
Norwood is built around the Parade, one of Adelaide’s busiest shopping and cafe strips, and the streets off it are lined with villas and cottages, many with no driveway and street parking shared by the whole block. A truck may not be able to stop at the front gate, so the carry from the door to the truck is the thing to plan. Older homes here often have narrow hallways and doorways too, which matters for lounges, wardrobes and tall bookcases.
Payneham
Payneham, along Payneham Road, mixes older family homes with groups of units and newer townhouses. Unit groups usually share a driveway, so a word with the neighbours the day before saves a blocked car on moving morning. Townhouses often mean stairs inside, and bedrooms upstairs. Measure the stairwell turn against the largest bed base and the fridge before moving day, and tell us if anything has had to be lifted over a balcony to get in: it will probably have to leave the same way, and that changes the crew and the gear we bring.
Magill and Campbelltown
Magill stretches along Magill Road towards the foothills, and Campbelltown spreads north towards the River Torrens. Both have plenty of single-storey family homes on suburban blocks, with driveways that make access easier than in the inner east. Closer to the hills, blocks start to slope; tell us if the driveway is steep or the house sits below the street.
Burnside
Burnside sits against the foothills, with large established homes, mature gardens and some of the steepest driveways in the eastern suburbs. Big homes mean big inventories: formal dining rooms, studies, pianos and outdoor settings. Moveall’s Supercharge option adds extra team members and specialty equipment for heavy and bulky items such as a piano or pool table, as part of the house move.

What to tell us about an eastern suburbs home
- Street parking. Whether a truck can stop outside, and how far it is to the door if not.
- Hallways and doorways. Narrow halls and tight turns in older homes decide what can be carried through.
- The driveway. Long, steep or shared, and whether the house sits above or below the street.
- Heavy pieces. A piano, a pool table, a marble-topped table or a big sideboard.
Moveall runs 3, 5 and 8 tonne Pantech trucks, so a smaller truck can be used where a narrow street needs one. Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets before it moves, under Moveall’s strict handling and packaging procedures. The complete move is explained on house removalists in Adelaide, and if the house needs packing as well, read packers and movers in Adelaide.
